I recently started my journey to quit smoking, now around the fourth day. The main reason is for my health. Previously, during a health check, I was advised to visit a larger hospital after an issue showed up in my lung exam. At the hospital, I was told that while I didn’t have emphysema or lung cancer, I was at risk of developing emphysema if I continued smoking. Since then, I’ve had periods of quitting and relapsing, but recently, I felt a sense of pressure in my lungs while sleeping, which heightened my concern and motivated me to try quitting again.
Also, for some undisclosed reasons, I might experience financial strain soon, so this decision also serves as a way to save money. For both health and economic reasons, I’ve committed to quitting, and I’d appreciate everyone’s support to keep going.
